Packaging branding design

We design branding for packaging, not branding that happens to sit on a pack. Logo, color and type are built to work on every format you sell.

What you receive

A brand that holds up on shelf.

Logo and wordmark, color palette, type system, usage rules, and pack layouts for your formats. You get a guide your team can use for every new product.

  • Logo and wordmark

A mark that stays legible at label size and still holds up large on a carton or a shipping box.

  • Color palette

A small, defined palette, with a plan for how color changes across the products in a range.

  • Type system

Type for the brand name, the product names and the small print, tested at real pack sizes.

  • Patterns and illustration

Supporting graphics, such as borders, textures and illustrations, that give the packaging its own character.

  • Usage rules and pack layouts

A guide that shows how the identity works on your formats, social posts and campaign images.

Branding for packagingIn practice

Designed where customers meet it

For most product brands, the packaging is where customers meet the brand first. A logo designed on its own often struggles once it has to share a small label with a product name, a claim and a barcode. Designing the identity and the packaging together avoids that, because every decision is tested on the real format as it is made.

An identity with a point of view

Kenatae is built on Ethiopian textile patterns and portraiture: a woven, multicolor border runs along the base of every carton, paired with a small leaf mark. Elvara goes the other way, with a lowercase wordmark, a single macron and a two color palette of brown and off white on frosted glass. Both identities come from the product story, not from a trend.

Ready to use beyond the pack

The same identity carries through to your website, social media and marketplace listings. When the brand is ready, we take it into product packaging design for every format.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions.

  • Do I need a brand before packaging design?

No. Many projects start with only a product and a name. We create the identity and the packaging together, so the brand is designed for the place it will be seen most.

  • Can you work with my existing logo?

Yes. If you already have a logo, we work within it and can refine the colors and typography so the packaging feels consistent with the rest of your brand.

  • Do you help with naming?

Naming support depends on the project scope. Tell us what you need in your brief and we will confirm it in your quote.

  • How long does a branding project take?

It depends on the scope and the number of products. First concepts arrive in 2 days, and the full timeline is confirmed in your quote.

  • How many revisions are included?

Revision rounds depend on the scope and are confirmed in your quote.

  • How much does it cost?

Cost depends on whether you need identity plus packaging or packaging only, plus SKU count and formats. Send your product and goals for a custom quote.
