Car interior cleaning gun with a frosted bottle, rendered on dark stone in light fog
Overview

A car interior cleaning gun: a black pistol grip and nozzle on top of a frosted, refillable bottle. Selvanes built the product in 3D and rendered it two ways, as clean studio shots and as moody scenes on dark stone.

The studio set shows the shape and parts clearly. The scenes give the same product a stronger, more premium mood for ads and banners.

Brief

This project was about showing a car interior cleaning gun in 3D. We modeled the gun and rendered it as clean white studio shots and as moody scenes on dark stone.

Challenge

A black pistol grip and nozzle on top of a frosted refillable bottle can easily turn into a dark shape with no detail. The renders had to make the profile, the nozzle, the trigger and the cap easy to read, and still give the product a premium mood for ads and banners.

Studio renders

Every part, clearly lit.

On white, the renders show the full side profile, the nozzle, the trigger and the threaded cap that holds the bottle, so a buyer can read the product at a glance.

Design Outcome

White studio shots make the shape and parts easy to study. Dark stone scenes keep the same product but give it a stronger premium feel, so the set works for both product pages and advertising.

Deliverables

  • Studio renders on white
  • Detail close ups
  • Scene renders on dark stone
