MedBrace Puls8 control unit with its display and power button
Overview

Puls8 is a MedBrace core comfort device: a curved pad with a removable control unit. Selvanes modeled the device in 3D and rendered it from the front, the back and in detail.

The renders keep the device on a calm, warm background so the silver body, the display and the red Puls8 mark stay the focus.

Brief

MedBrace asked us to model the Puls8 core comfort device in 3D and render it from the front, the back and in detail. The work covered the curved pad, the removable control unit and the display.

Challenge

The device is curved and soft, so the renders had to keep the silver body, the display and the red Puls8 mark as the focus on a calm warm background. The back also had to show the ring of red lights switched on, so the heat and light zones are easy to understand.

The back

Lit from inside.

The back of the pad was rendered with its ring of red lights switched on, to show the heat and light zones that sit against the body.

Design Outcome

Front, back and detail renders let a buyer study the pad, the control unit and the display from every side. The lit back view explains the heat and light zones without needing extra text.

Deliverables
  • 3D model of the pad and control unit
  • Front, back and side renders
  • Detail renders of the display
